Jacqueline Kannyana Ntuyabaliwe known as K-Lyinn was born in Dar-es-Salaam Tanzania on the 6th of December 1978.
The half Tanzanian half British artiste studied both her Primary and Secondary education in Tanzania. As a child she was inspired by Mariah Carey and she often dreamed about one day becoming a famous artiste as well.
K-Lyinn started her music career in 1998 as one of the lead singers of a local band called the Tanzanites that was famous for its two year contracts in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain.
Being a part of the Tanzanites was officially the beginning of her journey as a singer which has led her to who and what she is now.
In the year 2000, K-Lyinn took a break from her singing band to take part in the Miss Tanzania beauty contest which she won and went ahead to represent her country- Tanzania in the famous Miss World contest. As Miss Tanzania she decided to dedicate the following year to charity work and other duties.
In 2003, she started recording her first solo album which was released a year after hitting the studio. Her first two singles "Nalia kwa Furaha" and "Nikipita Wangu" got major airplay on all local radio stations in Tanzania and topped the charts immediately which instantly put her as one of the top Bongo flavor artistes in East Africa.
Along with this album came many achievements for the infamous Tanzanian star. K-Lyinn got two nominations at the 2004 Kilimanjaro Music Awards (KMA's) for best R&B album and best Zouk song.
As of 2007 K-Lyinn has released three new singles and videos from her second album titled "K-Lyinn Crazy over you." This album also got her two nominations at the Kilimanjaro Music Awards for Best female artiste of the year and her single "Crazy over you" was nominated for best collaboration 2007 as well as best East African Video at the KMA's.
