Michael Ross was born into a family of fourteen children twenty six years ago in Kampala.
He started out as a dancer at the age of eight. His main influences being American artists such as Bobby Brown, MC Hammer and Michael Jackson.
In order to appeal over a wider audience base, Michael broadened his musical base which led to releasing the Luganda language single ‘Yooyo.’ This earned nominations both for a PAM award and Kenya’s Kisima award.
Michael has made numerous live performances within Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi. He has appeared in shows which featured international artists such as Shaggy, Tevin Campbell and Kevin Lyttle.
Michael’s story continues into the current year with a soon to be released new album also called 'Yooyo’ which features his current successful chart topper ‘Nalulungi.’
He is also involved in several collaborative productions with various East African artistes including Wyre, Navio and Lyrical G.
