RICHY BIOGRAPHY

18 year old Richard Kaweesa aka Richy is Uganda’s latest RnB sensation. He burst on to the music scene when he won the MTV “My Video” contest for Uganda.  A competition that was searching for the best new talent in numerous African countries.  He won himself a fully paid holiday weekend in Nairobi and attend the 2010 MTV African Music Awards in Nairobi.

Richy has been singing in his church choir since his childhood days.  Although just in the beginning of his professional music career he has already been called the “best male voice in Uganda”.  Industry professionals have compared his talent to American superstars like John Legend and Ne-yo. He started as a gospel artist but is slowly making a transition to positive and uplifting RnB.  His first single “Missing You” which featured Navio did very well on the African music and video charts.  His follow up single “Breaking Apart” a club banger that is sure to fill up dance floors across the world.

Richy is a live musician and his true talent can be seen when he performs with his band.  Look out for Richy a true talent that is destined to be a big international star very soon.
